i am too young to have really know the old web. when i was little, my internet access was limited to jeux.fr and girlsgogames' endless libraries of flash games, and when i was old enough to use other websites, i was really only interested in social media (but only google+, because my parents wouldn't let me have facebook until i was legally old enough, and the law changed from 13 to 16 shortly when i was 12.)
the first website i owned was a pokemon blog on my mom's wordpress. it was fairly basic and mostly a mess of plagiarism, but i had fun making all those little articles detailing pokedex entries. after that, i dabbled in the world of fandom wikis for a bit, but it simply wasn't the same.
in 2019, a tumblr friend introduced me to neocities, so i used my knowledge of html acquired from making tumblr themes to create a website. it is still up to this day, although i haven't updated it in a long, long time. (warning: contains flashing images and bright colors.)
it's at the end of summer 2020 that i decided to make this website. (before that, i'd been making a lot of toyhou.se templates, which allowed me to get a pretty good grasp on bootstrap.) what you're looking at is its second incarnation — i rewrote it from scratch on 20/03/2022 due to being unsatisfied with its overly simplistic layout. it is now mostly torchwood-themed because i enjoy it :]
my only goals with this website are to create a place where i can have fun while still keeping it mobile-compatible: seeing as i do most of my browsing on a phone, it is very important to me that my website is useable regardless of the device used to view it.
i mostly think/talk about torchwood but i promise i have other interests
